An excellent workshop to promote film language, and the roles encountered on a film set. Brent’s enthusiasm and knowledge of film encourages all students to be creative, accountable and involved throughout the pre-production and production stages of creating a narrative. frequently asked questions

Will you come to our school?

Yes absolutely! The Film In A Day workshop is designed to work in any classroom.

What grade level do you work with?

Grades 5-12

What does our classroom/school need to do to prepare for the workshop?

We arrive on the day with all of the supplies and gear needed for the workshop. A facilitator will arrive roughly 30 minutes prior to the scheduled start time. The only requirement we need is a room within your school which is private enough so that the workshop will not be disrupted by other students.

What is the minimum and maximum amount of students needed to run the workshop?

A minimum of 12 with a maximum of 30 students works best.

How long is the workshop?

The workshop is four hours long. Before we arrive, we ask the teacher to supply a schedule of the day so that the workshop can be divided into sections during instructional time, in order to accommodate recess, lunches, etc.

Do we get to edit the film we shot that day?

We will do that for you. Within two weeks of the workshop, an edited film will be shared with the booking teacher via Google Drive.

How much does the workshop cost?

The Cost for 2024/2025 is $25 per student. Please contact us for more information.

Invoicing?

We prefer sending an invoice after the workshop so that we have the exact number of participants and do not overcharge. However, we are happy to accommodate whatever works best for you!
